Overview

Operational Services provides professional services in facility management, child nutrition, transportation, planning for growth, and the design and construction of new facilities in Poudre School District.

 

Child Nutrition

Department Overview
Child Nutrition is dedicated to providing healthy, nutritious servings in all school cafeterias. The department partners with customers, manufacturers, and other school districts to create and provide students with fresh, delicious and nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and grab-and-go selections. Each meal is well-balanced and healthy meals that are required to meet science-based federal nutrition standards.   Every school lunch includes choices that meet the USDA’s My Plate guidelines that encourage every family member to make smart choices from every food group, find balance between food and physical activity, and stay within daily calories needs.

Facility Services

Department Overview
Facility Services coordinates PSD's facilities maintenance program and is comprised of Building Maintenance, Custodial Services, Customer Support Center, Outdoor Services and Utilities & Resource Management. Facility Services operates at an optimal level of efficiency and effectiveness so that all school and support sites are maintained at a functional, comfortable level, providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and students.

Planning, Design & Construction

Department Overview
Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) provides long term planning services, management of the design and construction of new facilities, coordination of CAD/GIS services, and other architectural services and projects. PD&C is currently managing construction projects for the 2010 Building Fund. Transportation Services

Department Overview
Transportation Services provides safe and efficient transportation to 12,000 students every day in Poudre School District!  Transportation for students is based on the distance between their home and neighborhood schools. Students not eligible under the distance criteria, or who have transportation needs not met by pre-assigned routes, may be eligible to ride the bus as part of their educational program, or by application.

PSD is dedicated to actively managing energy consumption and conserving natural resources, while enhancing the classrooms and offices where students and staff learn and work.
