Lesher International Baccalaureate Middle School will celebrate its actual birthday Tuesday, Sept. 7!
Birthday activities on Tuesday will be the end of a year-long celebration of events and activities at Lesher, recognizing the school's 50th birthday.
Celebration activities on Tuesday include:
Students will be encouraged to dress in the school style of the year 1960. Staff will also be encouraged to dress in the 1960 style with women wearing dresses, hose, and heels and men wearing white shirts and skinny ties.
Tuesday morning KLIB TV announcements at Lesher will feature “David B. Lesher” (played by assistant principal Deon Davis) who will greet the students and share a few words. An excerpt from an actual interview with Mr. Lesher will also be shown.
During lunch, students will sing "Happy Birthday Lesher" and cookies will be passed out.
