Technology Rollout Continues at RMHS, Freshmen Receive Laptops

About 500 freshmen at Rocky Mountain High School recently received  laptop computers to use in the classroom and at home.

The RMHS freshmen are the third group of 2,050 freshmen in Poudre School District to receive laptop computers, as part of the district's efforts to equip students with 21st century skills. The laptops, funded by mill and bond dollar approved by voters in fall 2010, are checked out to students for the entire four years while in high school.

Freshmen at Poudre High School were the first to receive their computers in September, followed by freshmen at Fort Collins High School in November.

Fossil Ridge High School freshmen will receive their laptops later this year.

More information about the technology rollout is available in the online PSD article about how laptops will engage students in learning opportunities.
