Poudre School District congratulates staff and schools for their outstanding accomplishments!
Marc Buffington, social studies teacher at Poudre High School, graduated December 2011 with a Master's in Education with a principal licensure from Colorado State University.
Sarah Bayer, science teacher at Lincoln Middle School, an International Baccalaureate school, was featured in the December 2011 national publication Principal Leadership. The article featured Lincoln’s 8th-grade STEMester of Learning Service Learning program.

The Fort Collins High School History Club was featured in the National History Club newsletter Fall 2011, Issue XXI for their recent accomplishments. The mention included: Fort Collins High School (CO) has participated in a variety of activities this fall. For videos they have watched Glory and Roots Part I, and discussed slavery, contraband, the 54th Massachusetts Regiment, and Reconstruction. A recent trip they took was a Ghost Tour through the Fort Collins Museum. Museum staff discussed research on the myths and legends of Fort Collins that document the many cases of paranormal incidents in Fort Collins history. Finally, they were paid a visit by Kurt Kneirim, a Civil War living historian who was dressed in full uniform and discussed the causes of the Civil War with Club member.
