PSD Students Achieve Success: Essay Contest Winners and other Writers Recognized

Poudre School District congratulates the following students and schools for their outstanding accomplishments!

Winners of the Author Visit Essay Contest
Congratulations to Colton Broda, second-grader at Livermore Elementary, and Evan Zamba, fourth-grader at Lopez Elementary, for winning the district Author Visit Essay Contest! Their prize is a classroom visit from Mary Hoffman, the British author of the book Amazing Grace. The students will also receive an autographed set of the books for themselves and their classes.

More than 450 outstanding essays were submitted by PSD students, describing their dreams and how they would make them happen.  They were inspired by words from the book Amazing Grace:  "You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it!"  Mary Hoffman's book is available in each school media center and in the third-grade Treasures anthology. A recording of Mary Hoffman's classroom presentation will be available on PSD Channel 10 soon.
