The Poudre School District Board of Education outlined the process and timeline for selecting an Interim Superintendent to replace Dr. Jerry Wilson, who is leaving to become Superintendent in Maryland.
At its meeting on May 29, the board heard from community members and discussed the characteristics sought in an Interim Superintendent. The board also noted that it prefers that the Interim Superintendent not apply for the long-term Superintendent position. The Interim Superintendent will serve from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.
As part of the selection process, which will be facilitated by the Colorado Association of School Boards, the Board agreed to create a community committee to interview and provide input regarding the final candidates. The committee will be comprised of the following stakeholder groups:
The Board will be sending letters to each identified stakeholder group asking for the names of representatives to serve on the interview committees. Names are due to the board by Thursday, June 7 at 4:00 p.m.
