Bond Projects Will Limit Public Access to Some Schools this Summer

This summer, projects funded by the 2010 Bond Fund valued at nearly $34 million are scheduled at 32 PSD sites. Access to many of these school buildings and playfields during the summer will be limited in order to ensure the safety of students, staff, and the community. Of the 32 sites scheduled for bond projects, 11 will be closed for the summer. Other schools will also have limited access, but to a lesser degree. A complete list of school access for summer 2012 is posted online.

Major renovation projects are scheduled to begin this summer at Fort Collins High School, Poudre High School, and Rocky Mountain High School as well as some middle and elementary schools. These major renovations will focus on improving the environmental comfort of classrooms, enhancing building security, and increasing energy efficiency, as well as renewing building infrastructure. A detailed school by school list of projects is posted here.
