Poudre School District’s graduating class of 2012 has many reasons to celebrate. Approximately 1,800 seniors met PSD graduation requirements, as well as created life-long memories and made important decisions about their futures. Seniors were honored for their tremendous accomplishments during PSD commencement exercises May 24-26.

Class of 2012 accomplishments:

• PSD’s college-bound seniors were offered approximately 37 million in academic scholarships.

•  10 PSD National Merit scholars: National Merit Scholars earned this elite designation after a two-year testing process. Finalists selected score in the top 1% academically among Colorado seniors.

•  Six PSD Daniels Fund Scholars:  Seniors selected as Daniels Scholars have demonstrated strong character and determination to succeed in life. They receive funding to attend the college or university of their choice.

• 90 Poudre High School International Baccalaureate graduates: To earn an IB diploma, students must complete the rigorous two-year IB curriculum and score a minimum of 24 points on IB exams.

• PSD graduates have been accepted to prestigious universities like Stanford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Notre Dame, Duke, Yale, Wake Forest, Columbia, and U.S. military academies.
