Board of Education Selects Three Finalists for Interim Superintendent

At a special meeting on June 13, the Poudre School District Board of Education met in Executive Session to review 15 applications for the Interim Superintendent position.

The applications came from both within the state of Colorado and around the country.

The Board named three finalists:

  • Jim Sarchet
  • Judy Skupa, Ph.D.
  • Nancy Wright, Ed.D.

At the meeting, Mr. Bob Cito, CASB consultant who is facilitating the selection process, noted that these three applications clearly met the characteristics the board was seeking:

  • Collaborative
  • Knowledge of Colorado law
  • Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of PSD
  • Team Builder
  • Knowledge of Policy Governance

The Board and a community committee will interview the candidates on Tuesday, June 19 at the JSSC complex, 2407 LaPorte Avenue. These interviews are open to the public but will not be broadcast on Channel 10.

State law prohibits the board from announcing its selection of an interim superintendent before June 27 (14 days after the finalists are announced.) A final selection date has not been determined.
