The Partnership Center: Contributing to a Vibrant Community
High quality schools are one of many reasons Fort Collins has repeatedly been named one of the best places in the nation to live, and community support is vital. That’s where the Partnership Center comes in. The Partnership Center creates and nurtures mutually beneficial alliances between Poudre School District and higher education, business and community organizations.
The Partnership Center builds relationships, matching the needs of the district to the resources and goals of community groups. Community/ School Partnerships take many forms – from businesses/organizations that fund whole programs across the district, to those that provide volunteers to tutor students at a single school, and everything in between.
The goals of the PSD Volunteer program are to support, sustain and expand the community’s involvement in education. Volunteers assist students and teachers in a wide variety of activities, including: tutoring, mentoring, helping with playground supervision, assisting in computer labs, media centers, school health offices and more. More than 65 hardworking building volunteer coordinators handle recruitment, placement and recognition for nearly 4,000 volunteers under the direction of the Partnership and Volunteer Program. For the safety of our students and staff, Poudre School District Board Policy requires all volunteers to register. Registration is fast and easy
