Back to School Letter 2009-10Dear Families,
Welcome back! I trust you are as excited for the new school year as I am. We plan to work with great fervor to ensure our first year as a K-5 school is a great one.
As you return to Kruse this fall, you will notice we’ve made several changes. With 6th grade no longer in elementary school, and our expansion to four classrooms in most grade levels, many of our teachers needed to move classrooms. Please see our new school map on our website, www.psdschools.org/kruse, and on the front doors to our school.
It will be hard to get used to the idea of our school without 6th graders. However, their departure has created the space to hire several teachers. Please welcome the following teachers to the Kruse community:
Annie Thomas –Half-Day Kindergarten
Tina Rizor – First Grade
Richard Warren – First Grade
Larissa Weisgerber – Second Grade
Elaine Rankin – Fourth Grade
Lori Pibal – Art
Donna Detmar-Hanna – Occupational Therapist
To Be Hired – Primary SPED/Literacy
In addition to these new staff members, we have a few returning staff members taking on new responsibilities. Alison Coatman has joined our first grade team, Karen Tigges has joined second grade and Amanda Bush has joined third grade. A full, updated staff roster is available on our website, referenced above.
These changes, like any others we make, are intended to aid our goal of continuous improvement. I trust they will do just that. I also trust we’ll have a great year. As always, I look forward to working and learning with you and your children!
Sincerely,
Sean Gorman
