Fall Letter from the Principal
Greetings O’Dea Core Knowledge Elementary families!
What a fabulous fall we have had! There have been so many wonderful events at O’Dea that make our hearts sing and our spirits soar. I simply love coming to work every day to see what will happen next!
Our fifth grade team attended our ECO week at Pingree Park and experienced many life-changing moments together. Our students challenged themselves…and each other. Each and every one of us left Pingree with a new and different perspective the world around us...and our ability to play a role in it. I am so proud that Poudre School District continues to support programs such as ECO week. It was truly a memory making experience!
We have hosted our fall family dinner and book fair that brought in over 250 students and family members. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy a meal together and then visit our book fair to see what great new books are available. Thank you for attending these community building events!
Our teachers are focused on our Essential Learnings and ensuring that all students make gains across content areas. Our Enrichment Block has been providing differentiated learning opportunities and allowing us time to reteach and reinforce as well as provide extended learning opportunities for our students.
We are looking forward to our Talent Show in December as well as our Core Fair and Family Dinner in the Spring. Our third graders will be taking their Reading CSAP in February and then the rest of our CSAP assessments will begin in March.
Thank you for your continued support of O’Dea Core Knowledge. We exist to inspire, nurture, teach and learn and families are an integral part of that!
We are looking forward to a wonderful winter with you!
Warmly..warmly…warmly,
Laurie
