
PHS Presents Hello Dolly!Poudre High School puts on its “Sunday best” with fall musical Hello Dolly!
More than 100 students are involved in the cast, orchestra, technical and costume crew for Poudre High School’s upcoming theater production of Hello Dolly, which will be presented November 19-21.
Schedule Includes Evening and Matinee Performances
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students for evening performances at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, Friday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 21, at the school, 201 Impala Dr. A special 1:00 p.m. matinee show will be performed on Saturday, Nov. 20, when all tickets are $5. Tickets may also be purchased at www.showtix4U.com, in the PHS main hallway during lunch hours, and at the door prior to each performance.
“Hello Dolly is a dazzeling production which will culminate in one of the most famous, glittery stage scenes of all time when Dolly is greeted by waiters, cooks, doormen, and wine stewards with the show’s signature song,” said Amber Anderson, director and PHS teacher.
Characters and Cast: A summary of the characters and cast includes legendary matchmaker Mrs. Dolly Levi (played by Amanda VanOrden) who sets her sights set on half-a-millionaire Horace Vandergelder (portrayed by David Lonowski) in turn of the 20th century New York City. Along her meddling, melodious way, Dolly manages to also match up hat shop owner and widow, Mrs. Molloy (played by Stacie Yeldell,) with Vandergelder’s head clerk, Cornelius (played by Zach Eulberg); Cornelius’s assistant Barnaby (portrayed by Scott Trout) with Mrs. Molloy’s assistant, Minnie (played by Savannah Bearden); and struggling artist, Ambrose Kemper (played by Nathan Blau) with Vandergelder’s weeping niece, Ermengarde (played by Erin Mross).
