Talk with Legislators Dec. 14 at DAB Forum on Education

Parents and community members are invited to talk with legislators during the parent District Advisory Board’s (DAB) 13^th Annual Forum on Public Education, which will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, in the conference room at the Johannsen Support Services Complex, 2407 LaPorte Ave. 

A panel of northern Colorado state legislators will answer questions from community members about education. Presently State Rep. John Kefalas, State Rep. Randy Fisher, and State Sen. Bob Bacon are scheduled to attend the forum. Additional state legislators and education officials have been invited, subject to scheduling.

A moderator will ask questions from the public submitted on index cards. Attendees may also bring pre-prepared questions to the forum. All legislators will have an opportunity to respond to the questions.

“This is an opportunity for parents and the community to talk with legislators about educational issues before the January session of the legislature starts.” says Ben Stein, the organizer for the DAB, which is comprised of parent representatives from Poudre School District schools.
