Core Knowledge Curriculum
Bethke will implement the Core Knowledge Curriculum in grades K-5. Developed by E.D. Hirsch, the Core Knowledge curriculum ensures every child receives a guaranteed and viable curriculum that is solid, sequenced, specific, and shared. Integrating problem solving and critical thinking into each unit, energetic staff members work closely with students and families to monitor growth in all areas. Students are engaged in content rich units that stimulate independent thought and inquiry. Students show learning through a variety of methods including multimedia projects and presentations.
Parents will receive a Core map at the beginning of the year to follow as students work through the various units. Click on one of the following to learn more.
