Reconfiguration of grades to start in August 2009
The Board of Education for Poudre School District announced that Poudre School District schools would change configuration for the start of school in August 2009. With the start of the school year in August 2009, elementary schools will have grades Kindergarten – 5, middle schools will have grades 6 - 8, and high schools will have grades 9 - 12. All of the schools are preparing to make this transition as smooth as possible.
The middle schools are working hard to decide which parts of the program they currently use will be appropriate for 6th grade students and which parts need to change. When the middle schools have developed the program that works, they will share that information with you.
The students who are currently in 4th grade will move to the middle school after 5th grade. At CLPE, we will ensure that those students have a graduation ceremony and are prepared for the middle school experience.
I will keep you informed of the transition plan we develop! If you have any questions about this process or anything else, please contact me, (488-7600 or sschiola@psdschools.
