Thank you for your help and commitment to our students!! Because of your efforts, students have a much greater opportunity to make a "positive difference" in our world!! Hooray, hooray!!
Please look over the descriptions of our PTO volunteer opportunities below and contact PTO President Lynn Ann Johnson at 484-3215 or jdjfort@aol.com to volunteer or for further information. No experience is necessary for these volunteer opportunities and they are a great way to get to know other Lesher parents and our great Lesher staff!
Back-to-School Picnic – Help with set-up and clean-up for our fun Back-to-School picnic on the evening of Friday, Sept. 8.
Magazine Sale – Accounting Day – We need volunteers from about 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, September 14 to help process orders for the magazine sale. No accounting experience is necessary!
Magazine Sale – Prize Day – We need volunteers during lunch periods and during the afternoon on Friday, September 15 to help pass out prizes and help with a party for students who sold magazines.
School Store Sales – The PTO sponsors a school store on Fridays during lunch for students to buy school supplies and school spirit items. You can volunteer in the school store monthly, quarterly, or as often as fits your schedule.
7th Grade Night – Assist with a fun evening of dinner and Bingo for seventh graders and their families in October. Great evening volunteer opportunity!
7th Grade Night Coordinator(s) – Coordinate volunteers to order and purchase food and get prizes for our fun evening for seventh grade families in October.
Quarter Treats – Bring a dish for our quarterly teacher appreciation luncheons. A great way to show Lesher teachers you appreciate all they do for your student!
Quarter Treats Coordinator(s) – Help coordinate PTO volunteers to provide a luncheon for our Lesher staff once each quarter. You can choose the date and the luncheon theme!
Student-of-the-Month – Update bulletin board monthly with pictures and info about students of the month. This can be done at your convenience during the month.
Dance Chaperone Coordinator – Contact parents from the volunteer lists to chaperone dances once a quarter. Great evening volunteer opportunity.
Dance Chaperone – Chaperone one or more of the quarterly student dances. Great evening volunteer opportunity!
Vision and Hearing Screening – Assist district health personnel with their vision screening for our Lesher students. Three or four hour commitment during one school day in the fall. No medical experience necessary!
9th Grade Dance – Assist with our going-away dance for our 9th graders in May. 8th grade parents are especially encouraged to help!
