Parent Teacher Organization

PTO meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:45 to 7:30 pm in the Olander Media Center.  All Newcomers are welcome! 

Olander PTO is made up of volunteer parents who work in conjunction with teachers, staff, and other parents to support educational goals and provide opportunities to connect as a school community.  We organize and execute fundraising activities, as well as sponsor Family Fun Nights and other events throughout the year.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at Olander is easy, and there are hundreds of ways to help out.  Please contact any PTO officer for more information or go to the Volunteer at Olander webpage for details.

Fundraisers

  • SOAR - Successful Ospreys Always Read - this is a read-a-thon fundraiser where students send letters to potential 'sponsors' who contribute money based on the amount of read that their students complete during the read-a-thon week. 
  • Scholastic Book Fairs are held in fall and spring as fundraiser events.
  • Gold C Book Sales.  Late August to early September.  This is one of Olander's biggest fund raisers.  Read more about the Gold C book sales.
  • Box Tops for Education.  Please send in your Box Tops from General Mills products.  All money earned from Box Tops will be used to defray the cost of student field trips.  Please collect these all year!
  • Target.  User your Target card and Olander gets a percentage back.
  • Dominoes Pizza.  Order pizzas on our Dough Days at Dominoes Pizza... look for information in Thursday/Friday folders.
  • Milk for Cash from Morning Fresh Dairy
