Parent Volunteers

At Olander, parents are welcomed and appreciated as much as their children. Parent volunteers add their enthusiasm and talents to the classroom and to special events, get to know their child(ren)'s classmates and friends, and develop lasting friendships with other parents, teachers, and staff.

Getting Started - Simple Steps to Volunteering

To be a Parent Helper at Olander, there are a few things that you need to do before you can get started.  Registering online (item 2) is a mandatory process that the Poudre School District has in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff. 

1.  Complete the “Parent Helpers at Olander ” form identifying the activities with which you would like to help and turn it in to the office or your student’s teacher.  The event or volunteer coordinator will contact you before the event to let you know the details.  Scroll down to read about volunteer opportunities!

2.  On a computer, go to the Poudre School District volunteer web site and register.  The registration site is:  http://www.psdschools.org/programs/partnership/volunteer_agreement.aspx
Read through the information and click the I HAVE READ box, then press the I AGREE button.  If your computer has pop-up blockers, turn them off temporarily so the site will function properly.  Follow the instructions, providing as much detail as possible.   All volunteers must be registered; this is required to ensure the safety of all students and staff. 

3.  Every time you enter Olander, please go to the office, sign in, and get your name tag out of the rolodex box.  Please return your name tag and sign out in the office when you are done volunteering for the day.  This is critical in helping Olander staff ensure the safety of the students.
