Young Scholars

The Young Scholars Program is a program for sixth grade students to undertake in an extended and independent research project on a topic of their choice with the guidance of a mentor from the community.  The program  includes small-group learning experiences in addition to independent research.  As part of PSD’s gifted and talented education program, students present their projects each spring in a district-wide conference.

Olander students or parents who are interested in learning more about this program should contact Susan Ort (susano@psdschools.org), Olander's Young Scholars coordinator, or Barb Crowfoot, Young Scholars Program coordinator for PSD, at (970) 484-6368.
