Welcome to First Grade!

Mrs. Frick , Mrs. Bundy, and Mrs. Davenport are excited to welcome you to a wonderful first grade year.  In first grade we focus on nurturing the whole child through "umbrella" thematic units.  Students are immersed in rich literature while developing reading and writing skills.  We support phonemic awareness and phonics programs!  Our district science units find us exploring air and weather, balance and motion, and plants at this level.  Everyday Math develops basic math skills as well as providing opportunities for problem solving and critical thinking!
