Students Benefit From Well-Rounded Instruction

We believe children benefit from exposure to and involvement with the Arts. As a connection between people of all nations, cultures and eras, the Arts express the Human Spirit.

Shepardson is committed to providing a high level of staffing for art, music, PE, technology and media. This provides the opportunity for students to excel in a wide range of areas.

Art encourages students to develop their creativity and imagination through learning the elements of art, the principles of design, and art appreciation.

Music is an essential part of the human experience. It is a basic mode of communication. All children will be given the opportunity to experience music through listening, singing, movement/dancing, instrument playing and performing.

Physical Education develops children physically, socially, emotionally and mentally. Students learn skill development, sportsmanship and teamwork.

Media and Technology support the curriculum and are interwoven into all aspects of students learning. Through the Media and Technology program, students are engaged actively in the world of ideas. They manage technology tools to access information and to communicate.
