What is Scrip?

Scrip is a term that means “substitute money.” When you purchase scrip from the Shepardson PTO, you will receive a gift card, as you would if you went to the store and purchased one.

How Does it Help Support Shepardson?

You pay face value for the card, and they give a rebate of 5 percent to 40 percent back to the Shepardson PTO. We can raise thousands of dollars using scrip, but it only works if you participate.

How Does it Work?

A scrip card looks and acts like a regular gift card. You swipe it to make a purchase, and any balance remains on the card. You can use scrip to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, gas, toys, books, school supplies, electronics and more. With every purchase, you help support your child’s education.

How Do I Get Started?

We stock King Soopers, Safeway, Sunflower, Target and Reader’s Cove scrip gift cards for immediate purchase at the Shepardson office.

Safeway scrip can be used to purchase any of the gift cards that Safeway sells in the store, such as iTunes, Blockbuster, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Old Navy, McDonalds, Chilis, Kohls, Macy’s, Starbucks, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Pf Chang, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot, Claire’s, Barnes & Noble, Sears, Ticketmaster , Petsmart , OfficeMax, Staples, and more.

Sometimes, we’ll even pick them up for you if you. Just ask.

Will You Still Order In From Great Lake Scrip?

In the past, we have ordered gift cards from Great Lake Scrips, which represents thousands of merchants, but the shipping is expensive. So if you have a large order (say you want a new dishwasher from Sears) and want merchants that we don’t otherwise carry, we will order them in for you. Isn't It Inconvenient?

You can send your completed form to school with your child, or drop it off at the office. You can have your order sent home with your child, or pick up your order at the school office.

We also offer a monthly order form that allows you to pay with post-dated checks or keep a credit card number on file and receive your order every month.
