On Thursday October 4, the Wellness Team from Shepardson consisting of Tonia Beard, Beth Brown and Greg Neal attended the Poudre School District, School Wellness training. The purpose of this training was to provide the teams from each school with ideas and resources to promote wellness for everyone at school and at home. The resource kits that were provided can be viewed at www.CanDoOnline.org and have great ideas for schools, classrooms and a section for healthy homes.
A quick tip: Did you know restaurant portion sizes are often 2 to 3 times larger than they were 20 years ago? Share your meal with a friend or family member or ask for a to-go box right away so you are not tempted to clean your plate.
