Shepardson Elementary had 3 entries for the 2007 Reusable Art contest sponsored by the Larimer County Solid Waste and the Garbage Garage Education Center. Sahana B., Benjamin H. S., and Elia B. created very interesting sculptures using cereal boxes, soda bottles, pop cans, dried markers, egg cartons, a shoe, and much more. All 3 of the students received recycled pencils made out of denim jeans and paper money.
Elia B. was chosen as one of the 3 Grand prize winners in Larimer County! Her sculpture will be on display for one year at the Garbage Garage. She will receive a t-shirt, a package of recycling goodies, and money.
