Facility Services coordinates the district's facilities maintenance program and is comprised of Building Maintenance, Energy & Environmental Management, and Outdoor Services. Facility Services operates at an optimal level of efficiency and effectiveness so that all school and support sites are maintained at a functional, comfortable level, providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and students.

Facility Services maintains over 4 million square feet in 73 district buildings sitting on 965 acres: 32 elementary schools, 10 middle schools, 6 high schools, 2 district stadiums, 3 other school program sites (early childhood, alternative), 33 portable classrooms, and support functions. In addition, staff maintain 342 acres of irrigated turf.

Project Proposals

In support of district policy EC – Property Management, project proposals are required for any change in the intended use of District buildings or grounds, and for projects requiring the management of multiple trades and/or a permit from a regulatory agency.

To begin the project proposal process submit a "Special Projects" work order through Service Now. Attach any supporting documentation (i.e. drawings, photos) to the work order.

All special project work orders are reviewed regularly by our Facilities Steering Committee. During that review a member of the project team is assigned your proposal and will contact you regarding project status.

Agricultural Land Leases

Cherry Heights Site: located at the southeast corner of the curve along State Highway 1 and County Road 15, approximately 3.75 miles north of the Highway 1 and North College Ave intersection. The parcel is approximately 35 acres of non-irrigated pastureland

Competitive bid applications must be received with the following requirements:

A completed Agricultural Lease Application
A completed Resource Management Questionnaire

Fully completed applications can be submitted electronically to Poudre School District at facilities@psdschools.org or delivered to the Operations Center at 2445 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80521.

Each year, PSD is recognized by numerous local, state, and national organizations for its building designs, environmental leadership and stewardship, energy conservation, and sustainability management systems.

Awards and Recognitions

Green Ribbon Schools

PSD was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a 2015 Green Ribbon Schools District Sustainability Awardee, one of only 15 districts in the nation to receive the award. Three PSD schools have also been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as Green Ribbon Schools - Wellington Middle School in 2012, Kinard Middle School in 2013, and Lesher Middle School in 2014.

PSD Good as Gold for Environment!

PSD was named a Gold Leader, the highest level of state recognition, by the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. As one of more than 80 gold partners and the first school district in Colorado with this distinction, PSD is recognized as an organization committed to continual environmental improvement with a fully-functional Environmental Management System.

Energy Star

The district began participation in the Energy Star program in 2000 and has since earned over 500 Energy Star awards.
