Parent Primary Language

Update Your Preferred Language in ParentVUE

Poudre School District is excited to offer families a new way to receive district communications in their preferred language.

Parents and guardians can now choose the language they would like to receive district messages by updating the Primary Language setting in their individual ParentVUE account.

Good to know: If multiple parents or guardians have ParentVUE accounts, each person can select their own preferred language independently.

What You Need to Do:

Please log in to ParentVUE and verify your language preference:

  1. Select My Account.

  2. Update the Primary Language field to your preferred language.

A cursor hovers over the %22My Account%22 button in the foreground, while %22Poudre School District%22 is displayed in the background.

  3. Locate the Primary Language field

    A form with fields for %22First Name,%22 %22Last Name,%22 and %22Primary Language%22 is displayed with a cursor hovering over the %22Primary Language%22 dropdown.

  4. Select your preferred language from the available list.

  5. Click the blue “Update Account” button at the top of the screen.

Transition Information

During the transition to this new feature:

  • If your Primary Language is populated, district communications will be sent in that language.

  • If Primary Language is blank, the District will continue to use the Language to Home field to determine your preferred language.

  • In the future, Primary Language will become the only field used for district communications. We encourage all families to update this setting as soon as possible.
