Harris students get real hands-on learning through gardening

Students at Harris Bilingual Elementary School recently got their hands dirty (literally!) when they spent a day working in the school’s new learning garden. Kids from all grades spent part of their day outside in the sunshine planting seeds and learning about plant life and food waste. As part of the garden day activities, the students visited different stations around the garden to learn how plants grow and how they can use food scraps to make compost.
