Apply to serve on the 2019 Mill Levy Override Committee - deadline Jan. 31

Poudre School District is seeking parents, staff and community members interested in serving on a new 2019 Mill Levy Override Oversight Committee.

In the fall of 2019, voters approved an $18 million mill levy override (MLO) for increases to PSD salaries for licensed and classified staff and safety and security in PSD schools. In addition, per statute, a portion of the funding will be allocated to district charter schools.

The new MLO committee will provide oversight and support to the district as funds from the 2019 MLO are expended.

The committee will include:

  • Members of the community at large (two – must reside within PSD boundaries)
  • Parents of current PSD students (three – one elementary, middle and high school representative)
  • Current PSD staff members (three – one licensed, one classified and one principal)

Committee representatives are asked to serve a minimum of a two-year term. The first meeting will be held in late spring/early summer of 2020. Meetings will be held in the PSD board room at the Johannsen Support Services Center, 2407 LaPorte Ave, and be open to the public.

To apply for the committee or to learn more, please see this 2019 MLO Oversight Committee application.

Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31.  Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee made up of district leadership. All applicants will be notified of selection decisions by email in February.

If you have questions about the committee, please email Lauren Hooten, strategic initiatives manager, at lhooten@psdschools.org.
