Poudre School District is thrilled to announce that in-person graduation ceremonies to celebrate the Class of 2020 will take place in late July. A limited number of guests may accompany each graduate, based on venue space availability and the size of each graduating class.

“I am delighted to announce what feels like the first good news in a long time,” Superintendent Dr. Sandra Smyser said. “Our PSD seniors deserve this moment in the spotlight more than ever, given everything that’s happened, and we can’t wait to see them walk across that stage.”

“This feels like the first good news in a long time,” Superintendent Dr. Sandra Smyser said. “Our PSD seniors deserve this moment in the spotlight more than ever, given everything that’s happened over the last few months, and we can’t wait to see them walk across that stage.”

The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment granted a variance allowing the events to proceed based on the district’s plan to adhere to health and safety precautions. Guests will have assigned seats and all attendees will be required to wear a mask. We will also be assigning arrival times to allow for social distancing while entering the ceremony.

In mid-July, graduates will need to pick up a packet with detailed information as well as a school mask for the graduate to wear at the ceremony, guest tickets and a ceremony program. Schools will communicate additional details about packet pick up before their respective pick-up dates.

Each ceremony will be livestreamed on YouTube in English and Spanish, so additional family and friends can celebrate their graduate in real time or watch the recordings later. The English livestream will also have closed captioning. Links to the online livestream videos will be shared as we get closer to the ceremonies.

PSD is proud to recognize the more than 1,800 graduates from PSD's eight high schools. Read some of their stories, view class lists by school and more on the PSD website here

As we’ve said before, this was not the graduation season any of our seniors imagined. That said, we are excited for this opportunity to see many of our students in person and to honor them for their tremendous accomplishments.

Those with questions should contact their school.
