Showing up on time everyday is important to your child's success in preschool!

• Please remember to always notify the EC program if your student will be absent from school.

  • Call - 970-490-3336

  • Text or Email - ecattendance@psdschools.org
    • Include the following in your message
      • Childs Name / Date of Birth / School / Reason for Absence including any illness information
• If your student will have an extended absence, more than 5 school days, please call Sharon Weaver 970-490-3036 or email sharonw@psdschools.org for pre-approval.
• Any absence longer than 10 days risks disenrollment from the program.
• Different funding sources have different attendance requirements, please call Fullana  970-490-3204 with any attendance questions.

School Closures, Delayed Start and Early Release Procedures and Notifications

School closures are a district decision and PSD Early Childhood will follow the recommendations from Poudre School District.

• School Closures: Families are notified about weather-related school closures by email and posted on the PSD Early Childhood Website, Facebook page and Instagram.
• Delayed Start:
  • Morning-only Early Childhood programs are cancelled
  • Afternoon-only Early Childhood programs follow normal schedule.
  • Full-day Early Childhood programs start two hours later than normal and release on time.
• Early Release: Families are notified about early releases by email and posted on the Early Childhood website, Facebook and Instagram

Remote learning in preschool 

Your teacher will provide activities for you to work on with your child if remote learning is required. If you complete activities and stay in communication with your child’s teacher, your child will be considered present and not marked absent for this time (present/offsite).

Get involved and volunteer in ECE

Resources and memberships

ECE families can apply for free memberships to the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery and to the Gardens of Spring Creek. English membership application  |  Español membership application
