Online Education

Options are 100% virtual and blended/hybrid learning

100 % virtual online learning:

Poudre Global Academy Virtual (K-12)

Those interested in a fully virtual education model have the option of applying for School of Choice to the new Poudre Global Academy Virtual (PGAV). PGAV replaces PSD Virtual, which was available as the online option during the 2020-21 school year and ended when the school year concluded. PGAV is available to students in grades K-12. PGAV students are provided a device to support their online learning.

Considerations:

  • Students need a designated adult at home to partner with their teacher and support their learning. The time commitment of this partnership varies based on the age of the child and their readiness for online learning.

  • Students need internet access at their residence.

Blended and hybrid learning:

Poudre Global Academy

The Poudre School District Global Academy (PGA) offers students in grades K-12 over 150 online courses, support by local teachers and staff, and is tuition-free. Using high-quality, rigorous digital content, students take courses ranging from Credit Recovery to Advanced Placement (AP).

Students receive the best of both worlds - online courses from home and on-campus instruction from teachers. Students also have the opportunity to participate in clubs, Student Council, and other extra-curricular activities.

PSD Global Academy may be suited for:

  • students looking for a technology-rich alternative to traditional schools
  • students who learn best through blended or hybrid instruction
  • families looking for mastery-based programs
  • diploma-seeking students who do not attend traditional schools
