Poudre School District is excited to announce that Jessica Wilson has been selected as the next principal of Zach Elementary School beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Wilson brings almost 20 years of experience to the role and is eager to foster a collaborative school culture.
Wilson began her career in a neighboring district as a reading interventionist and intermediate teacher. Since 2015, she has served a nearby charter school community as an intermediate teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, and elementary principal. Throughout her time in leadership, her school demonstrated strong academic achievement, earning consecutive John Irwin Awards, maintaining high levels of student growth, and sustaining teacher retention rates in the 90% range.
She has also presented at the AVID National Conference, supporting schools in building systems that promote rigorous instruction and student success.
As an educator and educational leader, Wilson is passionate about fostering a collaborative school culture grounded in strong relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to ensuring all students thrive. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her two children and their animals — including a dog, cat, tortoise, and axolotl. She also enjoys hiking, participating in local 10Ks and half marathons, practicing hot yoga, and staying active in her community.
Please join us in welcoming Jessica Wilson as she prepares to lead Zach Elementary into its next chapter.
