Our Commitment
Poudre School District is dedicated to the inclusion of all individuals; making sure everyone in our community feels welcome in all our spaces, and creating and maintaining spaces for learning and working in which every person feels like they belong. Our efforts towards this commitment include making our digital content, physical spaces, programs, and services accessible to all and help us create an educational environment where everyone has equal access.
Digital Accessibility Transition Plan
To show our commitment, PSD's plan for digital accessibility is linked below. This plan, updated quarterly, serves as our guide for continuous improvement to make our digital spaces and resources accessible.

We are focused on all digital content meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards, which has three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, Level AAA. At this time, our goal is to meet or exceed Level AA.
Here's what we're doing
- Developing and delivering training across the system to inform staff at all levels of accessibility guidelines and to provide tips and tools for staff to create and maintain accessible digital content.
- Utilizing amplification systems available in classrooms and meeting spaces across the District when providing classroom instruction or presenting to groups.
- Enabling closed captions when sharing pre-recorded content (i.e., a YouTube video) and embracing the use of live captions, when possible, when presenting to groups.
- Following a process when purchasing software to review the product, and the vendor, to ensure they are meeting current accessibility standards.
- Staying up to date on current legislation (state and federal) regarding digital accessibility.
We are continuously monitoring and working on meeting these accessibility standards so that all users have a positive experience. We want our information to be available, accessible, and understandable.
Accommodations and Accessibility Requests

If you have a request for accommodation(s) or modification(s), please know we appreciate at least five (5) business days’ notice. Requests for auxiliary aids or other accommodations/modifications made with less than five (5) business days’ notice will be honored to the extent possible.
