PSD students name snowplows for City's "Frosty Fleet"
The City of Fort Collins is thrilled to announce the finalized selection of names from the “Frosty Fleet” snowplow naming contest. During the latest snowstorm, the City of Fort Collins snowplow drivers had a blast choosing six standout names from a list of the top 20, and here they are:
- "Snowzilla" - Bacon Elementary, third grade, teacher Lindsey Garwood
- "Snowbacca" - Beattie Elementary, fourth grade, teacher Vanessa Lucero
- "Blizzard of Oz" - Werner Elementary, first grade, teacher Sarah Krueger
- "Larry" - Bennett Elementary, first grade, Ainsle McConnell
- "The Abominable Snow Monster" - Zach Elementary, fourth grade, teacher Liz Stafford
- "ScoopDog" - Bacon Elementary, fifth grade, teacher Ryan Dill

PSD Strategic Plan
In PSD, we are creating a Strategic Plan to guide our work that will enhance the experiences, opportunities and outcomes for all students. The Strategic Plan, being developed in partnership with the entire PSD community, will be our roadmap for the next several years and focuses on these priorities: Literacy, Graduate with Options and Mental Health and Belonging. PSD Retention Guidelines
Some teachers or parents/guardians may want to hold a student back a grade for a variety of reasons. PSD considers these requests following these guidelines.
