Players from Poudre School District’s four comprehensive high schools will go head-to-head again in cross-town football games at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium this fall during the Canvas Community Classic.
Fossil Ridge and Fort Collins High Schools will kick off at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6, at Sonny Lubick Field on CSU’s main campus in Fort Collins. Following that, Rocky Mountain High School will take on Poudre High School at 7 p.m.
You can purchase tickets through the CSU Ticket Office.
The Canvas Community Classic high school games are scheduled through 2025. Timnath and Wellington Middle-High Schools will begin participating in 2024.
In addition to their support of athletics, Canvas has also donated to support the district’s literacy efforts, as well as taught financial literacy to high school students at PSD’s Futures Lab.
As leading educational institutions in the community, PSD and CSU have a decades-long legacy of collaborative programming that successfully prepares students for academic, social and personal success.
Between the two institutions, there are an estimated 65 programs available to students, family and staff. They range from CSU campus visits for PSD sixth and seventh graders to hosting PSD Day at CSU women's basketball event. CSU has also donated tens of thousands of dollars to PSD classrooms over the years.
The Fort Collins City Council declared the week leading up to Oct. 6 as Canvas Community Classic Week. A BIG thank you to our partners at Canvas Credit Union for all the work on this event.
