Dear PSD Community,

Dear PSD Community,

Highlights of the Oct. 24 PSD Now edition:
In an effort to foster a culture of mutual respect, effective communication, and quality customer service, PSD has created a set of norms for staff, family/guardian, and community engagement. These norms aim to set a positive tone for interactions between staff and parents and community members, whether they happen in person, over the phone, or in writing.
The norms will be posted in all PSD schools and include expectations that:
In accordance with House Bill 24-1164, PSD is now required to provide free menstrual supplies (pads and tampons) to all menstruating students by the summer of 2028. A gradual deployment of dispensers and supplies has started, and free menstrual products will eventually be in all female-designated restrooms at all PSD middle and high schools (including locker rooms), as well as female-designated restrooms in fourth- and fifth-grade halls at PSD elementary schools and all single stall/gender-neutral restrooms in the district.
We@PSD love celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students and staff across Poudre School District. Both in and out of the classroom, we maximize our opportunities and achieve positive results by working and playing together. We want to share those stories with you.
The following message was emailed to PSD families and staff on Sept. 24.
Attendance in PSD is off to a great start in 2024-25! Our district attendance rate is currently 91.9%. We want to thank our students, families, staff, and community for their efforts to improve student attendance.
Telling the amazing stories found in classrooms across Poudre School District is one of the many things John Cope looks forward to doing as PSD's new Executive Director of Communications.
“I take pride in celebrating the achievements of students, staff, and teachers, and I am passionate about showcasing their efforts and hard work. The impact of this work is meaningful and lasting, and that’s what motivates me each day,” Cope said.
