Amy Russo-Segelhorst is on top of the world, breaking new ground in the community. 

Adopted at age 7, she was quiet and all smiles. She was also fascinated by the world of law enforcement as a child. 

Tayia Evans exudes a quiet, powerful energy. It's visible to those around her but, perhaps, not yet fully apparent to herself.  

Compliments and words of affirmation seem to take the 2023 Poudre Community Academy graduate by sincere surprise. Her humility acts almost as a shield against what the world sees: a strong, compassionate young woman who has overcome more by senior year than many do in a lifetime.  

It's no exaggeration when I say that my recent conversations with seniors are among the most profound in my nearly 25 years in public education. Listening to their stories and witnessing their introspection, I know that Poudre School District’s Class of 2023 has and will keep making our community better.
