PSD hires new director of Human Resources

Poudre School District is pleased to announce that Emily Bickerton has been named the district’s new director of Human Resources.

Bickerton began her HR career in public education in 2016. She held different HR roles in Englewood Schools, Jeffco Public Schools, and at HRx, a small HR consulting company, before coming to PSD in 2022. She began her new position as director in July; she was previously the assistant director of HR.

Teachers share excitement about the school year

It's always important to stop and celebrate, and one of the causes for celebration this year was having all teacher positions in Poudre School District filled for the start of school. We welcomed 113 new teachers this year, which is significant because school districts across the state and nation are struggling with teacher shortages.

Whether teachers are new to the district, to their school or in a new classroom, here is what a few had to say about their first day and what they’re looking forward to in the school year ahead.

Our classified staff - get to know them and how they support students

This year PSD honors more than 1,800 colleagues who serve the district in 200 different classified roles for Classified Employee Appreciation Week (Feb. 13-17). Classified employees hold dozens of positions across the district from those in Early Childhood Education, to paraprofessionals, translators, bus drivers and more. We thank you for all that you do, and we could not support students without your work.
