PSD launches Strategic Plan

Dear Poudre School District community,

We exist in PSD for our students. We are one district, one team with one plan, wanting the best opportunities, experiences and success possible for all students.

At Tuesday’s PSD Board of Education meeting, we officially launched the PSD Strategic Plan (see the board presentation on YouTube). It is designed to guide the work of the district by stating our most important areas of focus and how we address them. The plan offers clarity and consistency to the work we do to provide the best outcomes possible for all students.

PSD’s Strategic Plan is centered on three priorities - Literacy, Mental Health & Belonging and Graduate with Options. Over the coming months and years, we will work to bring the plan to life – showing, not telling, people how the plan comes to life in our work and student experiences – at strategicplan.psdschools.org. On each priority area’s web page, we’ve listed projects for year one and what we plan to accomplish. Projects for year two are currently in development.

We want to thank every parent, guardian, employee, and community member who attended engagement sessions during the 2022-23 school year and took the communitywide survey to help guide development of the plan. Your ideas, values, beliefs, and input are interwoven in the PSD Strategic Plan. In short, you make us better.

I’m excited to do this work in partnership with our community this school year and for years to come.

With appreciation,

Brian Kingsley
Superintendent
