Zuleyka “Zuly” Adorno-Calderon, Bilingual Speech Language PathologistZuleyka Adorno-Calderon

Areas of Expertise

  • Communication - I’m a bilingual Spanish-English specialist and I focus on how your child communicates with others using gestures, pointing, words and phrases. I also pay attention on how well the child understands what he/she hears and how they pronounce sounds in words to be understood by others. If your child is bilingual, I acknowledge the process of being a second language learner and identify needs considering the beauty of learning more than one language.

About me

I am a certified Speech Language Pathologist with a Master’s degree from University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus.  I have been a part of Poudre School District since 2011 and have worked primarily with bilingual children between PK-12th grade. Since then, I have also worked for the Early Childhood Assessment Team. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, seeing my daughter grow up, dancing ballet and traveling. I also love to cook and appreciate having a good conversation with friends.
