The Poudre School District Board of Education at Tuesday’s meeting voted to approve the 2023-24 school year calendar now available on the Calendars and Schedules web page.
The following are some dates of note:
- Aug. 10 – District professional learning day, non-student contact day
- Aug. 16 – Transition Day for grades 6 and 9 only
- Aug. 17 – First day of school for all students
- Sept. 22 – District professional learning day, non-student contact day
- Nov. 20-24 – Five-day fall break, no school
- Dec. 25-Jan. 5 – Winter break, no school
- Jan. 15 – Federal Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, no school/no staff work
- March 11-15 – Spring break, no school
- May 30 – Last day of school for all students
- June 19 – Federal Juneteenth holiday, no school/no staff work
Members of the PSD Calendar Committee, which includes staff, parent and employee association representatives, put together the district’s calendars, weighing many competing interests and input. The committee presents the draft calendar to the school board for approval.
