Schools have long been the cornerstones of communities where students, staff and families gather. From a log cabin with two students in 1866 to Colorado’s ninth largest school district in 2022, Poudre School District continues to grow and add to its long history.
Each PSD school has a unique story that reaches across generations and touches many lives over the years. PSD is proud to recognize schools celebrating major milestones and anniversaries.
Congratulations to these four schools celebrating milestone anniversaries in the 2022-23 school year:
Bacon Elementary School
Bacon will celebrate their 20th anniversary at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 18, in conjunction with their Spring Fling event. Bob Bacon, the school's namesake, will be invited to attend.
Beattie Elementary School
Beattie celebrated their 50th anniversary Aug. 26, 2022, which included a short presentation before opening the building for all attendees to walk through the memories. See photos below!
Boltz Middle School
Boltz hosted its anniversary Oct. 6, 2022. See photos below!
Rocky Mountain High School
Rocky plans to celebrate throughout the year.
