Attend a PSD session about School Performance Frameworks used in school improvement efforts

If you’d like to learn how Poudre School District uses information provided by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) to help inform ongoing school improvement efforts, plan to attend an informational meeting in September about the Transitional School Performance Frameworks and their use in developing Unified Improvement Plans.

All sessions will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at designated school media centers. Dates and locations include:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 7, Wellington Middle-High School
  • Monday, Sept. 12, Rocky Mountain High School
  • Wednesday, Sept. 14, Fossil Ridge High School
  • Monday, Sept. 19, Poudre High School
  • Tuesday, Sept. 20, Timnath Middle-High School
  • Tuesday, Sept. 28, Fort Collins High School

At each session, PSD Assessment, Research, Evaluation and Accountability staff will present about the CDE School Performance Framework reports and school accountability process.

The CDE Transitional School Performance Framework reports include performance ratings for schools. Overall ratings are based on achievement and growth on state assessments, along with postsecondary measures like graduation rates, drop-out rates, college entrance exams and more. These performance ratings help the CDE and State Board of Education make decisions about how to help schools.

The accountability process also includes Unified Improvement Plans, which are informed by the school performance frameworks, and includes action steps to address the root causes of performance challenges.
