Provide feedback about literacy curriculum materials at community sessions in January

Members of the community are invited to help Poudre School District select the next elementary literacy curriculum. Those interested may review curriculum materials and provide feedback during three literacy engagement nights scheduled this month.

The PSD Literacy Materials Review Team finalized vendors for the district K-5 literacy adoption during a meeting Nov. 30, 2022. The three finalists are:

Literacy engagement sessions scheduled for Jan. 17 and Jan. 18 have been rescheduled due to weather (new dates noted below). Engagement sessions about the materials are open to the public, and will be held:

  • 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, Fossil Ridge High School, 5400 Ziegler Road, Fort Collins
  • 6-8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 23, Rocky Mountain High School, 1300 W. Swallow Road, Fort Collins 
  • 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 24, Eyestone Elementary School, 4000 Wilson Ave., Wellington 

During the engagement sessions, attendees may examine the materials first hand and ask questions directly to the vendors. Each evening will feature an opening session explaining the purpose for the literacy curriculum adoption, what is hoped to be gained by it and an overview of the adoption process. Following the overview, participants may move among vendor rooms to view individual presentations. 

Public feedback on the materials will be collected at these meetings through comment cards placed at the door.
